Hush Lodge & Cottages

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hush Lodge in July!! My sister-in-law was getting married at our family cottage nearby, so we spent 4 days at the lodge… it was great to have a quiet retreat to escape to when we weren’t busily getting ready for the big party. I was also 9 months pregnant, and I SO appreciated the comfortable king size bed! The room was clean and comfortable. The owner was delightful and accommodating. Everything was just exactly what we needed.

Last minute booking for a road trip with the kiddos. Nice little lodge, very comfortable bed and nice room with fridge, pull out couch, microwave, and coffee maker, tv, etc. Good sized field for the kids to run and play sports. Went to the dock at sunset and the photos were spectacular. Easy communication with management, would stay here again.

We stayed here on a last minute vacation about last week and it was so nice. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was comfortable and cozy but most importantly it was so clean!! I really appreciated that. It has all the cooking equipment you need and nice soaps in the bathroom. The bed is very comfortable also. Out side they have a BBQ and some tables to eat at as well as a play structure and trampoline. It's very kid friendly and also dog friendly which was amazing. They had some boats which were ghetto af but still super fun and the water was so beautiful! It had Lilly flowers all over it like a painting. I have never seen that before. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation.

This is a very cool property. A small motel style lodge with a handful of cabins. We arrived with a large group and it was a pleasant stay. I was in cabin #2. It was a great size. Well stocked with everything you could need for a weeks stay. Comfortable bed, good shower (hot water takes time but it's good). I saw a few of the rooms. They are a little dated but extremely spacious and comfortable. The property it self is a real gem, although it seemed to be in a period of transition when I was there. A little upkeep around the property was on order. There are few picnic tables scattered around leading back to the lake which also has a great fire pit and some seating. A bit over grown and I would love to think it will be cleaned up over time. It really is a cool spot. The lake looks shallow, but there is a dock and boats available which we didn't get a chance to use. But the views are great. Over all very nice stay, even if it was just for a night. The location and scenery in the area is top notch.

This is our second stay at the Hush Lodge and again it’s been a great one!! Last yr we found this place in the fall and stayed over with a couple of friends and families. Ferdos, the owner, is a very warm and friendly host. We even did a barbq since we were 3-4 families and Ferdos offered his barbq grill! The lake at the back of the lodge has a paddle boat too which was fun. The standard rooms, king suite and the cottages are well maintained. This time we visited in Mar and our room was cosy warm and well equipped. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!! Glad we found this place and a great host !

Update******* I've lost count the amount of times I've stayed here. This weekend was the first time my family and I stayed at Cabin#1. Definitely a favourite of mine now. It was clean, had everything we needed and it had a hammock! The owner of Hush lodge is so friendly and kind! Always checks in too make sure our stay is comfortable. They have a beautiful view of the water. I highly suggest going for a walk on the property. Also, they have a park if you've got little ones:) I can't wait for my family next trip to barrys bay! Thank you Firdous and staff for the amazing hospitality! ___________________________________________ I believe this is my third time staying at Hush Lodge. It's always such a great experience. The owner is super friendly which makes visiting so welcoming! They keep the place very clean and it smells fresh! I come here with my family and I can vouch it children friendly. To be honest I think if I came here with just my husband it would still be couple friendly. They offer cabins if you don't want to stay inside the hotel which I love! They offer a beautiful trail, a playground, a few fire pits, soccer field and there's a beautiful lake just behind the hotel. I'll definitely be back with my family

Beautiful lake out at the back of the property with water lillies - just like one of Monet's paintings. Just spectacular. Row boat and pedal boat available for guests. Loved all the trails right on the property. Clean rooms. Sauna and games room too!! Great service. Went for a day trip to Algonquin. East entrance is only a 45 min drive from here. Water is now potable. Would definitely come back!

Hush lodge is a family run lodge with kind and wonderful owners. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The amenities here are really quite nice. Inside and downstairs, there is a games room that includes a TV, toys for young kids, great board games, even a standing shuffle board. Down the hall is a sauna, shower, washrooms, a poker room, a small gym and even a meeting room. Outside there is a soccer field, hammocks, volleyball court, wide open grassy area and of course the waterfront. Unfortunately I did not get to explore to the waterfront on my short stay, but would love to stay there again for an extended stay.
